artist bio

Anou is a Lebanese musician, composer, and performer whose music feels deeply personal yet universally resonant — an invitation into emotional landscapes that shift and unfold with every listen.

Based in Beirut, Anou has spent the past few years immersed in focused creation, developing a series of projects that reflect his evolving artistic vision. This October 2026, the multidisciplinary artist officially announces his long-awaited debut album, The Bells. Anchored by the hauntingly profound focus track "Speculum", the album serves as a cinematic, deeply introspective gateway into an expansive conceptual ecosystem. Born from years of personal evolution and radical vulnerability, The Bells explores universal themes of love, loss, resilience, and transformation, offering listeners an intimate look into Anou's distinct sonic landscape.

The arrival of The Bells serves as the cinematic prologue to Anou's expansive, multi-album world, Radius, his highly anticipated audio-visual world: a series of multiple interlinked albums and stories that span several genres, themes, and visual mediums, all tied together by Anou’s unique voice and sonic imprint.

Having first introduced his sonic evolution with the singles "Strange Goodbyes" (2022) and "So Much Better" (2025), Anou uses this debut album to set the conceptual stage. Following the October release of The Bells, the Radius universe officially kicks into high gear in December 2026 with "Plastic" from his second upcoming album Wide Awake. "Plastic" will shift the gears into high-energy pop songs, marking the official, explosive launch of the main Radius chronicle.

Far more than a recording artist, Anou is simultaneously orchestrating a boundary-pushing, multimedia universe that seamlessly merges music, movement, storytelling, live performance, and experimental media. His profound impact on the avant-garde scene is anchored by high-profile collaborative works. Notable among them are the critically acclaimed dance and music-theater productions “Dust” and “Tearing Me Apart” — co-created with renowned Lebanese choreographer and dance producer Nada Kano, the cinematic fashion film and performance collaboration with celebrated Lebanese fashion designer Lara Khoury, and several others.

In parallel with all this, Anou has been developing his debut theatrical production  “Bird & the Whale - الهجرة”, which is a new-age operetta, debuting in November 2026 and set to tour different heritage sites in 2027, and is centered thematically on the continuous journeys to and from what we perceive as our physical and spiritual home. The show revolves around Anou’s music and lyrics (in both English & Arabic language), and there are several artistic disciplines and media forms and collaborators involved in the production, including contemporary dance, acting, projection mapping, visual art, theatrical costume and stage design, and more.

With an ambitious slate of multi-sensory projects on the horizon, Anou is rapidly cementing his status as one of the most compelling, multi-faceted creators of his generation, redefining the modern audio-visual experience.

With his first major releases arriving in late 2026, Anou opens a new chapter — one defined by emotional honesty, artistic expansion, and an invitation to listeners to truly feel.
